Hillesgården in English

Hillesgården has a vision

Hillesgården is run by the Hilarion foundation. The name of the foundation is derived from the Latin expression “hilaritas”, which means “inner joy in everything you do”. The foundation is operated on a non-profit basis, and has no religious or political affiliations.

Our vision is that a bright future is possible. We want Hillesgården to be an oasis for the soul and a source of inner well-being and joy of life. Everyone is welcome to Hillesgården just as they are, to strengthen their health and participate in a great number of activities that can give a moment’s recreation, or create space for inner reflection and self awareness. At Hillesgården, we also welcome people to take part in prestige-free group work, and appreciate the sense of community and joy that this can bring.

Our development continues

Our staff, and our volunteers, are slowly and steadily developing Hillesgården. Today, we have a beautiful park, a restaurant, conference facilities, a guest house, an art gallery and a number of shops. We also provide health treatments and alternative therapies, entertainment programmes, courses and seminars.

But this is just the beginning. We are presently completing ”Hälsans hus” (House of Health) so that it can function as a center of complementary medicine. We have also purchased nine hectares of land, partly thanks to a bank loan from Ekobanken. Part of the land will be used to expand the guest house and the restaurant, and to build a bakery and new shops, while the rest will be used for
farming according to permaculture principles.

Hillesgården is a dynamic future-oriented project that welcomes your contribution and commitment.

At Hillesgården, you will always get a friendly smile and a warm welcome!
